Biography
Shella Chawda is a nurse practitioner who has been with Emory Palliative Care since 2008. She previously worked as a nurse in community health and, in her first role as a nurse practitioner, founded a coumadin clinic at George Washington University. She has a passion for palliative care as well as education. As a nurse, she was involved in nursing education for her alma mater, Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, where she obtained her BSN and MSN. She is an adjunct faculty member at Emory University’s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, serving as co-director of the Fuld Palliative Care Fellowship. She is also the APP learner coordinator for Emory Palliative Care and a member of the Emory Hospice and Palliative Care APP Fellowship Committee.
